Approach

In a safe and compassionate environment, we'll identify your goals for counseling and work through the issues that keep you feeling stuck, sad, anxious or unfulfilled.

In my practice, I help people:

  • let go of limiting feelings, beliefs or behavior patterns
  • gain freedom from past experiences
  • create stronger relationships
  • find peace of mind in self-acceptance
  • discover joy in self-esteem
  • improve communication with others
  • set and reach goals

There's no reason to let trauma, depression, anxiety, major life changes, or past experience prevent you from creating a full and rewarding life.

Depending on each person's needs, I combine a variety of approaches to assist clients in reaching their goals:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral techniques
  • Narrative, Interpersonal and Existential therapy practices
  • Brief Therapy to solve specific problems
  • EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing for trauma

I believe that our minds and bodies have a natural inclination toward healing. The support that comes from a strong client/counselor relationship can help people make significant changes in their lives.

To make the most of this collaboration, it's important that you feel comfortable with the counselor you choose. To help you make an informed decision, I offer an initial 30-minute consultation at no charge.

My practice is built on collaboration, respect, and recognition of my clients' individuality, strengths, and experiences.

I work primarily with individuals and couples. At the client's request, family members or friends may be included.
